Scripture Reading: Matthew 13:3-9, 18-23, Matthew 7:17-29.
Someone said: "The maturity comes not as a Christmas gift, carefully wrapped and with a bow, left at your door. There are two scenarios by which all must pass to gain maturity: first, we must be born, and second we grow! "

1. Growing. Devotional life.
1. What two directions we need to grow? 2 Peter 3:18

________________________________________________________________ ______________ 2. What is God's purpose for us? Colossians 1:28

____________ 3. Why is it important to continually grow in knowledge of God? John 17:3

_________________________________________________________________ Like the physical life depends on the food, breathing and exercise, going well with life and spiritual growth, you need spiritual encouragement, food and exercise, and all this involves knowing better Salvador. If you want to develop a friendship with someone he has known, tries to make time with that person. The more we are together, the better you know. How can we know God better? Talking to him (in sentence), listening (in His Word), and doing things with him (bearing witness), that is, spending time with Him

4. What is the Christian's spiritual food? John 6:48-63. "I am the ________________________________". Verse 63 explains what Jesus meant: "The _________________ that I have spoken are spirit and ____________".
5. What makes spiritual growth (or sanctification)? _________________ _________________ John 17:17. What is truth? ________________.
To stay physically alive, eat three meals a day. To stay spiritually alive, we need the breath of life as regular food. Many people spend an hour a day to eat. Can we expect a spiritual growth with less effort? An hour of meditation a day studying His Word, especially the life of Christ, be rewarded with spiritual growth.

6. What example did Jesus in your prayer life? (For prayer, review Lesson 17). Matthew 14:23, Mark 1:35 Luke 6:12 _________________________ _________________________________________________.
Prayer, the breath of the soul is connected with our time devotional with the Lord, and that is to talk to Him While this communication may, and should, continue throughout the day, does not negate the need for a special encounter with Jesus every day.

7. How things Christians do with Jesus? Matthew 28:19,20 "Therefore go and __________ ___________________ all nations ... and lo ________________________________ _____________ until the end of the world."
The Holy Spirit represents Christ on earth (John 16:13 , 14). Through Him Jesus is with us all every time while others testify on his behalf. Note that his parting words were "Behold, I am with you always."

2. Growing. The life of faith.
1. How should we continue to walk with the Lord? Colossians 2:6 __________________________________________________________________ _________

2. How to receive Christ? John 3:16 ____________________________

How simple and beautiful guide to the Christian life! By an act of will to accept Jesus as our Savior. By an act of will maintain a trusting relationship with Him, believe what I say, accept what we offered, do what you want. Faith is a total commitment of all we are and we for the Lord.

3. What Paul admonished not to do? 1 Timothy 6: 12 _____________________ __________________________________________________________________

4. How do we fight the fight of faith? John 6:29 ________________________
This kind of belief is more than an exercise in "positive thinking" or merely "taking God for His Word." For example, Jesus traveled to Tyre and Sidon (Matthew 15), and as he crossed for a place, a Canaanite woman approached him and asked him "Have mercy on me, Lord. My daughter is grievously vexed with the devil. Please heal her! "

Jesus completely ignored! Not even answered! Nobody likes to be ignored. "Tell him to go," suggested to him the disciples, "is a nuisance!" Jesus seemed to agree, because she turned to her and said: "I was sent only to help the lost sheep of the house of Israel" . In other words, Jesus said, "Look lady, I did not come here to help."

But this woman kept worshiping and saying "Lord, help me!"

Jesus verbally push again: "It is not proper to take the children's bread and throw it to dogs. "

Have you ever called you dog? Many of us would have been crestfallen face of such rejection, but not this woman. "That's true, Sir" she replied, "even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from the table of his master. Give me a single crumb, a small crumb of bread! "

Then came the response, and Jesus, showing what real faith:" O woman, great is your faith. Be done as you wish. "And her daughter was healed. If you define faith in terms of belief alone, this story does not fit! Christ did not take his word, she confided in him she trusts him with his life, his daughter, and their needs, and that is the true faith. Pistis, the Greek word for faith can also be translated as "belief" or "trust." True faith is to put our trust in God. The apostle Paul was a champion of the faith! But if faith is just made yourself believe that something will happen if you believe in it strongly, then Paul stayed the course. Had enough promises he could claim to be freed from the dungeon and the scaffold of the beheading.

If faith is made to believe that something will not happen because God has promised us protection, then the reformers Huss and Jerome did not pass the test. Could claim the promise that when you walk through fire "do not burn, nor will the flame kindle upon thee" (Isaiah 43:2), and would not have died in the fire. "Paul and those men died because their faith was not strong enough? No, they died because they had a genuine faith, a faith that trusted God in the trials, in suffering, in pain, even death. This kind of faith can only come as a result of knowing God "face to face, person to person. Whenever the word "faith" or "belief" in the Bible, try changing to "trust" and be closer to its true meaning.

John 14:1 "You rely in God, trust also in me. "

Acts 16:31 "Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

This is not merely say "believe." In our world today, there is a faith that calls cheap "only believe in Christ for salvation. No! Learning to trust in God requires a personal and ongoing relationship with a God who deserves that trust! So what is our part to fight the fight of faith? Our job is to trust (John 6:29). And that means getting to know Him who is worthy of trust, because we naturally distrust of others until we know that they are worthy confidence.

One more word: If you learn to know a person who is trustworthy, do not have to build trust. Confidence comes in the same measure to be falling in love. You do not love because he tries to love! Love comes naturally when you meet someone who can love.

5. How is the faith (trust)? Romans 10:17 ________________________
is through the Word as we know the Lord. So what is the good fight of faith? Nothing more than taking the measure of faith that the Lord has given us (Romans 12:3) and use it to know the Lord better each day, so that we can trust Him because we know him. Never fight for "faith" struggle to learn to know God. Requires a daily effort to maintain a friendship with God. Why? Because the devil knows that there is power to victory by knowing God (1 John 5:4), so I will try anything to keep us away from God and prevent employees time to meet you.

3. Growing. Facing temptations and trials.
1. How did you learn obedience the Lord Jesus? Hebrews 5:8
______________ 2. What suffering taught him obedience to Jesus? Hebrews 2:18
__________ 3. How Jesus faced temptation? Matthew 4:4,7,10
_____________________ 4. What promises of aid and victory in temptation and testing has given us? 2 Peter 2:9 Psalm 145:14 _____________________________________________ _______________________________________________ 1 Corinthians 10:13 ____________________________________________ 2 Corinthians 12:9 _____________________________________________ ___________________________________________________ Jude 24 Philippians 1:6
_______________________________________________ 5. Why does God allow us to suffer experiences tester (temptations and constraints)? Acts 14:22 Isaiah 48:10 __________________________________________ _________________________________________________
6. What should be our attitude when we fail? Micah 7:8 __________________________________________________________ _________
The Christian life can be illustrated by a parable: You start on the highway of Christian thinking that is a fairly good conductor. But he still found a huge truck driven by a creature with the appearance of evil. And each time it is with that truck, you check off the road, the shoulder. You can not help that situation. So you go to a man dressed in white with scars on their hands, and says, "Look! I started to be a bad driver! Please could you drive for me? "And when you pray and, start a miracle. During the time that you let Jesus handle the situation at the wheel, you'll be fine with the devil and his truck (or temptations). It is when you come to rely on himself and asks Jesus to step aside to return to guide the vehicle, which he will, when the problem starts again.

7. What armor is given to the Christian? Ephesians 6:13 - __________________ 18

__________________________________________________________________ 8. When we get this armor, what are we really doing? Romans 13:14 _________________________________________________ ___

9. How can we make Satan flee? _________________ James 4:7
Le resist putting our full and complete trust in Jesus "without me ye can do nothing" (John 15:5) Jesus said. We can not save ourselves, but Jesus can not unless we let it. Asked a little girl what they did when Satan tempted him to act badly. "Well," she replied, "when Satan comes knocking on the door, just me back to Jesus and asked if I answer the door, and when Satan saw Jesus at the door says: Oh, oh, I think I have the wrong house. " Resist is an act of will. The choice is ours.

4. Growing. The life of obedience.
What we have been considering can be summarized in one word, "action." Studying the Word of God, that is action, testify and do things with Christ's action, resist the devil is action, obedience is action. Even faith (trust fully in Jesus) is action, because in the true sense of genuine confidence, although sometimes passively, is usually active, it works!

1. What is the true confidence? Galatians 5:6 James 2:18 ________________________ _______________________________________________
2. After learning what is the will of God through His Word, how should we respond? ______________________________ James 1:22 Luke 11:28 Romans 2:13 _________________________________________________ _______________________________________________
Millions claim to be Christians, having "a form of godliness" which denies "the power thereof" (2 Timothy 3:5). Again and again the Scriptures emphasize that salvation is for the obedient and not for those who are hanging the label "Christian."

3. Who is Jesus Christ came to be the Author of Salvation? Hebrews 5:9
_______ 4. How serious is failing at the time of obeying the truth? 2 Thessalonians 1:8,9

_________________________________________________ ____________ 5. How Abraham showed his trust in God? Genesis 22:8-13 Verse 8 "God _________________________________________" Verses 9, 10 What did Abraham? ___________________________ Vers. 13 How God honored his obedience? ______________________
6. How was Naaman's faith? 2 Kings 5:10 - 14 _________________________ Vers. 14 How was honored their obedience? _____________________
7. How did the three Hebrews showed his faith in God? Daniel 3:17 - 27 __________________________________________________________________

When these three young men who showed their confidence were cast into the fiery furnace, God did not put out the fire first, the act of faith comes first, and then the miracle.

8. How the Israelites showed their faith as they approached the Jordan and God told them to cross? Joshua 3:15 _________________________________ Vers. 16, 17 What did God do for them? ___________________________
God could open the river before them. Could get all the adventure out of the context of faith. Instead, let the Jordan river run its course, and did the miracle until the priests' feet touched the water. Then the river began to be retained, as if it were a dam, and the people crossed on dry ground.

Are you ready to enter under water in the order of God, knowing that there is no risk at all to obey, but to be late? There is no risk to put all his trust in Jesus. With his hand in Jesus, you are safe anywhere.

You have not reached this point by accident. It is a divine encounter that has led to the Truth has had a path to his life. What will you do with it? In the silence of this moment, with the outside world, seeing nothing but the cross of Calvary and the Savior who says: "If you love me, keep my commandments", what is your decision? -------------
