INTRODUCTION.

The Adventist Church is not a religious group that has arisen as a result of unique interpretations of the Bible. It is a people that came in response to the prophetic prediction.

1. Purpose of the Adventist Church.

1. What is the origin of the word "Adventist"?
Answer: It comes from the Latin "Adventus" which means coming, arrival.

2. What is the central message of the Adventist Church? John 14:1 - 3.
"not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place, I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am you also may be. "

The emphasis on the promise of the second coming of Jesus is the principal mark, along with the message of the three angels.

3. What announces The first angel?
Revelation 14:6, 7
"I saw flying in the midst of heaven another angel, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, to every nation, tribe, language and people, saying with a loud voice: Fear God and give glory, for the hour of his trial has come and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the fountains of waters. "

Matthew 24:14, 44.

"And this gospel of the kingdom in the world for a witness unto all nations: and then shall the end ... Therefore be ye also ready: for the Son of Man will come when you do not expect ".

4. What makes us the angel invitation? Revelation 14:7.
"Fear God and give glory to your trial time has come, and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the fountains of waters ."

5. What command refers to the Creator? Exodus 20:8 - 11.
"Remember the Sabbath day holy. Six days you shall labor and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor your servant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates. For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it . "

6 . What are the characteristics of God's people?

Revelation 14:12 "Here is the patience of the saints, who keep the commandments of God and faith in Jesus."

Revelation 12: 17.
"Then the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ "

Note: In these texts, clearly referring to God's faithful people in the days before the Second Coming of Christ, mentions that one of the unique characteristics that identify the people is the obedience of the Ten Commandments.

3. A Prophetic People

1. When would open the prophecies of Daniel? Daniel 12:4.
"But you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal the book until the end of time. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase."

Note: Daniel This text warns us that the book of Daniel would not be "Open" or understood until the end times, when science, ie knowledge about the book, would increase.

2. What is symbolized by the opening of the book of Daniel?
Answer:
An angel with a book open.

Revelation 10:1 - 3.
"down from the sky I saw another mighty angel, wrapped in a cloud with a rainbow above his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire. He had in his hand a little book open and put your right foot on the sea, and his left on the earth, and cried with a loud voice like the roar of a lion, and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. "

Note: This book is the book of Daniel, which is finally open or studied.

3. How do we know which is the book of Daniel?
Answer: The time no longer.

Revelation 10: 5, 6.
"And I saw the angel standing on sea and on land raised his hand to heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven and things in it, and land and the things that are in it, and the sea and things that are in it, that time would not be more. "

Note: With the date of October 2, 1844 any period closes predictive of time. No definite time prophecy goes beyond this date, all other issues to come, are timeless: "I swear ... that time no longer":

4. What order was given to John? Revelation 10:8, 9.
"The voice heard from heaven spoke to me again and said, Go and take the scroll that lies open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on land. And I went to the angel, telling me give the book. And he said: Take and eat, and thy belly bitter, but in your mouth sweet as honey. "

Note: This text announced in advance the effects of opening and studying the book of Daniel.

5. What effects did the eating the book, and what mandate was again? Revelation 10: 10, 11.
"I took the little scroll from the angel's hand and ate it, and it was in my mouth sweet as honey, but when I had eaten, my stomach turned sour. And he said:" You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages \u200b\u200band kings. "

6. How are these symbols on the experience of the Adventist Church?
a. The message of the second coming of Jesus was sweet, was very well received by many. B.
When Christ did not come on the date fixed, turned to bitterness and disappointment.

7. What message were the believers? Revelation 10:11.
a. You must prophesy again. The Advent movement was very successful, but after the great failure or disappointment, many turned away. It was necessary, as the Lord foresaw, start again the work of preaching the whole world, this time with a correct understanding of the message of the book of Daniel and a more accurate perception of the Second Coming of Christ. B.
From that moment came the Adventist Church.
