Scripture Reading: Revelation 12

A Chinese exchange student was recorded at an American university at that time was taken aback by a question from the questionnaire: "What is your religion?" His response, written in the little English he had learned, was "confusion."

There are thousands who are not followers of Confucius, who could really write that their religion is "confusion." Many people do not really know what you think. With about 250 names, how can anyone be sure that it is in the right church? Or no matter, as to believe in Jesus Christ?

1. The church.

1. What is called the church, and who is the head of the church? Ephesians 1:20-23 ________________________________________________________________

2. Who are the members of the body of Christ? 1 Corinthians 12:27

________________________________________________________________ 3. How does one become a member of the body of Christ, his church? 1 Corinthians 12:13

________________________________________________________________ 4. How many churches (bodies) is God? Ephesians 4:3-6
________________________________________________________________

2. The church and the truth.

1. Where is the custodian of the truth of God? 1 Timothy 3:15

___________________________________________________________ 2. What God compare to the truth? 1 Timothy 2:3, 4

________________________________________________________________ The more a person studies the Bible, the more you realize that the thought of God, the truth is the priority. Why is it so important to you? For 6000 years Satan (the rebel angel) has been constantly making war against God. Their weapons are insinuations, lies and subtle questions. It is their determination to deceive the whole world (Revelation 12:9) if it were possible even the elect (Matthew 24:24). God can not use these weapons, because he can not lie, because He is Truth (John 14:6).

Our salvation depends on the side they decided to join. No wonder that God desires that everyone come to know the truth, because only by knowing the truth about God's loving nature and character of Satan's sin and hatred, we can expect to make a smart choice. We are not able to win for ourselves the insights and concerns subtle enemy of heaven.

3. What determines ultimately our freedom? John 8:32

_________________________________________________________________ 4. Why will miss so many? 2 Thessalonians 2:9, 10
_________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________

Unbelievable but true! Lost because they were not interested in the truth enough to distinguish between mistakes and errors of Satan! What a tragedy! Apparently the love for truth is something we can develop. And we must develop if we want to be saved.

To consider: If our salvation depends on knowing the truth, do you think God would have the truth so complicated that only a few of them understand?

_________________________________________________________________ 5. What is truth? John 17:17
_________________________________________________________________

Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth and the life" (John 14:6). "The words I have spoken are spirit and life" (John 6:63). So how do we know the truth? Studying His Word, the Scriptures.

6. How many are given the opportunity to know the truth? John 1:9

________________________________________________________________

Titus 2:11

________________________________________________________________ Light is truth. Light is the Word of God (Psalm 119:105). If we, the darkness is the opposite, error and falsehood (Ephesians 5:8, 11).

7. What attitudes are dangerous against the truth? Rejections
direct opportunities to learn the truth.

Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed for ___________________________; because _________________________, and because you forgot the _______ of your God, I will also forget thy children. "

refuse to obey the truth known.
Hebrews 10:26 "For if we sin after receiving ______________ _________________ is not the most ____________________________". Defer

our response to the truth.
Hebrews 2:3 "How shall we escape if ________________ so great salvation?"

Is there any insurance to avoid being deceived? Thank God, there is one! Jesus himself gave us several tracks and safeguards. If we each, no need to fear if we are following the right leader or not.

1. Hosea 4:6 Take every opportunity that presents itself to learn the truth.

2.
Proverbs 4:18, John 5:46,47. Recognizing that truth is progressive. God does not guarantee that you will help us understand new truths if we have not acted in accordance with truths already been revealed to us. Perhaps this explains why Paul said there are some who are always learning and are not able to get to know the truth (2 Timothy 3:7). Save this principle in mind: The reception of the truth as it is offered is the prerequisite to understand and receive additional truth.

3. John 7:17. BEFORE study the Scriptures, commit to follow the truth, whatever the cost. If you do, Christ has promised to help you distinguish between truth and error.

8. What will the true followers of Christ? John 10:27

_________________________________________________________________ Can follow Jesus and walk with Him and be walking in a direction different from yours? Impossible! "Can two walk together except they be agreed?" (Amos 3:3). We can not walk with Jesus unless we are willing to follow wherever they lead us.

To consider:
Can a person hold on to error (known bug) and to be following Jesus? ________.
Why?

_________________________________________________________ 9. Still the truth remains true if handled? Romans 1:25

________________________________________________________________ 10. What did Christ say about the doctrines based on tradition? Mark 7:7-9

________________________________________________________________ 3. The church of God through the ages.

1. What was the Church of God in times Old Testament? Acts 7:38

_________________________________________________________________ Each time the Earth's history, God has had an organization to represent their cause.

2. What did Jesus indicate that established a church? Matthew 16:15-18
_________________________________________________________________

on the great truth was spoken by Peter (that Christ is the Son of the living God) on what the church would be built. Jesus is called "the keystone angle" in Ephesians 2:19, 20 and the "Rock" in 1 Corinthians 10:4. Christ is the only foundation on which the true church is built (1 Corinthians 3:11).

3. What instructions did Jesus showed that he wished his church had an organization on this earth? Matthew 18:15-18
_________________________________________________________________

a prophecy is revealed to the Apostle John of remarkable character, which gave an outline of the history of the people of God since the time of Christ until the end time (Revelation 12). Before I answer these questions, read Revelation 12. This symbolic prophecy gives an overview of the history of the Church in the Christian era.

4. Describe women that appears in this prophecy. Revelation 12:1

_________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________

5. Who is Zion? Isaiah 51:16

_________________________________________________________________ 6. What symbol often used to represent God to his people, or Zion? Jeremiah 6:2 _________________________________________________________________

God uses the symbol of a pure woman to represent your church or town. Paul called the church Corinth as a "chaste virgin" (2 Corinthians 11:2). The woman of Revelation 12 represents the history of the Christian church in its war against Satan.

7. Who is the great red dragon? Revelation 12:9

_________________________________________________________________ 8. How Christ is depicted in this prophecy? Revelation 12:5

_________________________________________________________________ 9. How the devil tried to destroy Christ as soon as it was born? Revelation 12:3, 4, Matthew 2:1-16
_________________________________________________________________

Satan worked through Herod, who, despite being Jewish, was named king of Rome.

10. Like Satan knows his days are numbered, what is it that makes the church (the woman)? Revelation 12:12-14

_________________________________________________________________ 11. Where fled the woman (the church) to escape those 1260 years of persecution? Revelation 12:6, 14 _________________________________________________________________

Verse 6 gives us a period of "1260" days. In a previous lesson we have learned that in prophecy one day equals one literal year. Despite the winds of persecution, the truth has never been completely extinguished. Even through the darkest times there were some who faithfully carried the torch of truth.

"In the days of the Reformation a truth after another was discovered and polished. A reformer after another contributed to the growing light and gathered followers as they proceeded. Unfortunately, those fans had a tendency to stop where their leaders failed to investigate for the truth ... And so we have the current names. (George E. Vandemann, A Day to Remember, pp. 64, 65).

Revelation's story 12 has not yet completed. Evidently the fire that led to the Reformation centuries ago, has not weakened at all. Their brightest days still lie ahead. I take part in it, and you?

12. "Contrary to what part of the church directs his wrath and Satan's final attack? Revelation 12:17
_________________________________________________________________

live in the remaining days, or last part of God's people. While carrying the torch of truth to a world of skepticism and disbelief, a silent commitment and immorality, will feel the assaults of the enemy with an intensity never experienced before.

13. What are the characteristics of the remaining two or church the last time? Revelation 12:17

_________________________________________________________________ Here are the features that identify those who stand firm for truth. "The remnant of the church, like the remnant of a roll of material, will exhibit the same texture as doctrinal statement, the same pattern of obedience, the same color of spirituality, as the original. It is the same truth that enraged the dragon in the days of the apostles, the same truth that the Waldenses, the Huguenots, and others gave their lives. The white woman was forced to flee into the wilderness but God would take care there. It is the story of survival in the wilderness largest ever told. The church is still standing today, immutable and fearlessly proclaiming the truth, the truth itself, this last generation. No fear remains in place for the commandments of God and the Testimony of Jesus Christ, facing increasing anger of the dragon "(George E. Vandemann, Planet in Rebellion, pp. 404, 405).

14. What command ignores almost all the Christian world? _________________________________________________________________ Exodus 20:8-11

In general, the Christian churches agree on nine of the commandments. God said His people would keep the commandments. Can a church that saves only nine commandments be called the church keeper of the commandments? James says: "Whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of all" (James 2:10). The true people of God will keep all his commandments. If a church does not keep the Ten Commandments can not say that it is "the remnant of her seed" because it lacks one of the identifying characteristics that God has given us.

There are several flags in the world to have stars in them, but only one that has 50 stars. There are red flags that have bars, some with blue bars, but only There are bars with seven red and six white stripes. As an American can recognize this flag with the specifications that we have, same thing will happen to those who earnestly seek the truth, noting certain specifications can easily and certainly reach God's people today.

The great lesson of Revelation 12 is Satan, cast out of heaven for his rebellion, given ongoing war against Christ, the Son of God, against the people of God, and against the divine law of God. Keeping the commandments of God is one of the things that identify the remnant of God. Is it any wonder that Satan will try to discourage bringing them criticisms and problems?

15. Are all God's people in one church today? John 10:16

_________________________________________________________________ 16. What did Jesus say would make their sheep? John 10:27
_________________________________________________________________
neighbors
Two boys were watching sheep, one in a small plateau, and the other on a nearby hill. A fierce storm forced the boys to seek refuge on a rock jutting out, his sheep got together with them. After the storm found impossible to separate the herds. In the end, fearing reprisal from their parents, began back home. Halfway down the mountain, the boys were separated for everyone to go home. As the sheep came to a crossroads, each separated according to their pastor.

Does God need a computer to print a list to know who are yours? Or do you need a list to know which pastor is everyone? Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice ... and they follow me." The proof that we are his sheep follow him is whether or not, if we joined the herd right. It's coming a lot of separation, a day where the sheep are placed on the right and the goats on the left. Staying now firmly in pursuit of truth, we will obtain the necessary strength to be faithful to God and His principles of truth when the crisis comes on the Law of God. God help us to be on their side. --------------
