9.2 ESTUDIO ADICIONAL: PROFETAS ¿MODERNOS?
What should I know when you are a prophet? Observe the screens
popular today, is seeing a parade of prophets. Prophets in the newspapers, news prophets, prophets with glass beads in dark rooms, or prophets with "vibrations", or visions, or Bibles, all with predictions.
predictions many and varied, conflicting, so contradictory, that would confuse any computer. How can you classify a man? Should I hear them all? Or neither? Or was it a good idea to find out how to examine a prophet? What has to make the man? What should you believe? Should I believe the one who has a better average number of correct? But this is changing from year to year. Should I believe only those who quote the Bible? But those who quote the Bible at all, sometimes seem to have as much reason as those who did the quote freely. Obviously this is not only a safe test.
The prediction game can be incredibly difficult. It may even be addictive. Some predictions are fulfilled under our noses. Then comes a great from the same source and fails. Why? People watching the news and read the press are being continually impressed by short-range predictions have been fulfilled, and long-range predictions have not yet been fulfilled.
The most chilling of all are the dates fixed for the end of the world. Prophets without Bible calls the day of the destruction of some kind. Bibles others call it the second coming of Christ. But obviously every date has been passed by without birth to a sudden halt.
Lest we be deceived by the many voices that are heard in our world today, we will focus on the characteristics of a true prophet according to the Word of God. A deep understanding of what a true prophet and what their messages, we protect you from deception more intelligently designed.
Scripture Reading: Matthew 7:13-29.
Since
filed a barrier between God and man, preventing face to face, God has communicated to men through prophets (Amos 3:7). The Bible is the result of the gift of prophecy, and that holy men wrote under the inspiration of God, writing his will and providing a guide to life for man (2 Peter 1:21).
When Christ was born in human flesh, spoke from God to man (Hebrews 1:2). Before he ascended to heaven, Jesus said, "Here I am with you every day, until the end of the world "(Matthew 28:20). He also promised the power of the Holy Spirit to help his followers to present the Gospel to the world (Acts 1:8). The display of power at Pentecost thousands of people became the "Way" Christian, as it was called. Without the Spirit, the apostles were a group of humble, confused, poorly educated and disillusioned men. With the Spirit stirred the world with the gospel of saving grace (Acts 17:6).
1. The gift of prophecy in the apostolic church
1. How Christ multiplied the talents of the church? Ephesians ________________________________________________________________
4:11
God gave these gifts according to the need of the church, not according to the requests and desires of church members. The foreign tongues to the apostles gave him instant communication with groups of foreigners who met in Jerusalem for the Feast of Pentecost. The gift of prophecy was also part of the early church and helped build their faith and flourish.
2. What are six purposes were given the gifts of the Spirit? (Verses 12-15)
1. "To _______________ to the saints."
2. "For the work of _________________".
3. "__________________del For the body of Christ (the church)."
4. "_____________________ To preserve the faith."
5. "To no longer be children, tossed about by every wind of doctrine, lest we be __________ by men who used guile and lies."
6. "________________ For all in Him who is the Head, that is, Christ (that is, to our Christian growth or sanctification)."
3. Name some of the prophets of the early church (in addition to the apostles):

__________________________________________________ Do you surprised that women are included among those who received the prophetic gift? Other prophetess mentioned in the Bible are Miriam (sister of Moses), Deborah, Hulda and Anna God uses men and women as their spokespersons. The prophet Joel said about the last days: "Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy" (Joel 2:28, Acts 2:17-21).
4. What other name knew a prophet? 1 Samuel 9:9
________________________________________________________________ Paul compared the church to a body. Gifts (apostles, prophets, teachers, etc.) Operating in the church as a body do the ears, eyes, mouth and nose (1 Corinthians 12:12-28). The prophets are the "eyes" of the church. Obviously many churches are "blind", they lack the gift of prophecy.
5. What happens when a blind person tries to lead another blind person? Matthew 15:14
________________________________________________________________
A blind man was standing at a crossing in Newark, New Jersey, waiting for someone to help him cross the street. He felt a hand on his arm: "Will you cross?" Asked a voice. "Yes," replied the man as he clutched the arm of her invisible benefactor. Suddenly, the disaster happened, the other man was also blind! Long ago, the sage said: "Where there is no vision the people endangered" (Proverbs 29:18). The counsels of God are clear: "Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be, believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper" (2 Chronicles 20:20).
2. The gift of prophecy in the last days
1. How long had to remain the gifts in the church? Ephesians 4:13 ________________________________________________________________

4. ¿Qué es el Testimonio de Jesús? Apocalipsis 19:10
________________________________________________________________
Cuando Pedro habló de los profetas del Antiguo Testamento testificando “de antemano los sufrimientos de Cristo, y la gloria que tenía que seguir”, dijo specifically that knowledge was given them by the Spirit of Christ (1 Peter 1:10-12). In every sense of the word, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ ", whether their work was done in the Old or New Testament, or if in the end times before Jesus' return. The gifts were given to remain in the church until the return of Jesus. Were taken to strengthen the believers while they were exposed to the attacks of Satan in this world.
3. True and false prophets
The old salesman rubbed his finger on the label inside the violin case. "Stradivarius!" he exclaimed. "This should be worth a fortune!" He was poking among the things of an old attic, looking for treasures. Now I felt a thrill as he closed the cover of the violin and took him home from a musician friend. "How do you think might be worth?" He asked. The musician looked at carefully, pulled the bow across the strings, and play a few notes. "I would say is worth about five dollars," he said. "You have to yourself make an error! Look at the label, is a Stradivarius! "" It takes more than a label for a Stradivarius, "said the musician.
1. What expect to happen in the last days? Matthew 24:24
________________________________________________________________
2. Why should not believe every spirit? 1 John 4:1
________________________________________________________________
"Jesus warn us about false prophets if there were true prophets? Nobody takes the trouble to deny something that does not exist. That's why we do not see any ticket 13 Euros in circulation. Do we ask God to probásemos to all those who claim to be prophets, if there were true prophets? No. It just would have told us to ignore all the prophets.
3. What we have to prove to all the prophets? Isaiah 8:20. Must be in accordance with God's ______________ and _____________________ of Scripture.
The scriptures include the Old and New Testaments. Anyone or anything that disagrees or contradicts any of the Ten Commandments or the word of the other "voices" of God (the prophets who wrote the Bible) can not come from God. -------------
