10.4 VESTUARIO Y RECREACIÓN.

THIS STUDY BIBLE DOWNLOAD PDF HERE

INTRODUCTION

study of today is wake up heated arguments, pro and con. However, while not intended to be limited to, deem it necessary to mention this topic in this series of Bible studies.

When the believer accepts the Gospel, we lose nothing of what was real value in life. Simply discard what is spurious, for cultivate what is genuinely beautiful, useful and constructive. His clothing and recreation should reflect a character transformed by the grace of Christ refiner.

1. General Principles

1. What is not to love a Christian and why? 1 John 2:15 - 17. "Love not the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of eyes and the pride of life, not of the Father, but the world. And the world passeth away, and desires, but whoever does the will of God abideth forever. "

Note: The human tendency is to imitate. Since it mimics a baby, is the method of learning. However, in this world there are many things that do not correspond to the way of being a Christian, and the temptation is often to mimic the taste and personality, act, behave and even to speak of "world." Very often it is even what more we "feel like" the letting go for a new car, the latest clothing, computer, etc. All that is perishable, and many lost time (and money) for something which is perishable, even to sacrifice principles to live with the latest fashion.

2. What is true worship? Romans 12:1, 2 "So you, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service. Not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what the will of God, pleasing and perfect ".

Note: This text can be applied in many ways, and may not all be justified. However, respect for the body is basic to this text (already seen studies diet, the use of toxic substances, including wine study the Bible ). The Respect goes so far when dealing with drilling and other things that "decorate" the body, one way or another.

James 4:4 "Ye adulterers, know ye not that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."

Note: This text, again not always used wisely, however, if a Christian is behaving differently and go unnoticed, do what he knows he should not, goes against God. For example, the apostle Peter was identified on the night of Jesus' trial, to move as one, swore, said bad words to be confused with others (Matthew 26:74 " Then he began to curse and swear, I do not know the man. And immediately the cock ).

2 Corinthians 6:17, 18 "Wherefore come out from among them and be separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing: and I will receive you, And be a father to you, and ye be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. "

Note: Some people confuse this type of biblical teaching of salvation by works. Nothing is further from the truth. We know that we are saved by faith and works that no one is saved. However, God invites us to be faithful, to show that we accept be their sons and daughters. The love of a father or a mother is shown with love, hugs, good treatment and others, in any case have to do that to have a loving parents, rather, we do this BECAUSE we have a loving parents (children, siblings, etc. .).

Similarly, the text of Corinthians does not tell us we should do this or that for God to receive us and sent his son to die for us even before birth. This text is telling us that if we accepted Christ, we will not imitate things that have nothing to do with his plan for our lives, or we will leave to act as in the past, when we were without the knowledge of His Word.

3. How purifies the life of God's grace? Titus 2:11 - 14 "For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, waiting for the blessed hope the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all iniquity and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. "

Note: These worldly desires, wickedness, start by not having jealousy, envy, vengeance, not behaving like others, returning evil for evil, but good for evil, and so on. Behavior should also be seen in our health management, property and life.

4. How life waiting purifies the second coming of Jesus? 1 John 3:2, 3 "Beloved, now we are children of God, and has not yet been revealed what we shall be: but we know that when he appears we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure. "

Note: Anyone who expected the second coming of Jesus, seeking to please the Master, seeking the purity of spirit, mind and body. We seek to be transformed into the image of Christ reflect its character, and that also involves his desire to act as he acted, to speak as he spoke, live as he lived.

5. What principle should guide all our behavior? 1 Corinthians 10:31. "If you eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."

Note: Everything a Christian does, must pass through the lens of the Bible. It is difficult to devote a Bible study every aspect of life. However, there is a basic rule applies to everything a person can make in your life: What I do, I do it to honor God or to please myself? Why I do this, or carry that, or I get that, or say what about that?

2. Ornaments
1. How does God show his distaste for the trappings? Isaiah 3:18 - 24 "That day the Lord removed the dress shoe, the nets, the ornaments, necklaces, earrings and bracelets, headdresses, the ornaments of the legs, hair starters, the little squirt of smell and the earrings, rings, and jewels of noses, robes, shawls, veils, purses, mirrors, fine linen, gauze and touched. And instead of sweet smell coming stench, and instead of rope belt, and head instead of the shaved hair restraint, instead of ceñimiento evening dress in sackcloth, and burning instead of beauty. "

Note: Most ornaments referred to in the text, were destined for idolatry, in addition to the exaltation of female beauty dishonest purposes. The pride, the pride grew so big that God himself announced a severe humbling. The people had given importance to the external image (probably with idolatrous connotations) and this will led to unbridled sensuality, ultimately, losing sight of the divine and focusing on physical appearance and beauty as the ultimate goal.

When reforms are spiritual, God called to dispose of all such embellishments as an outward symbol of conversion and internal repentance.

2. What was stripped to build the tabernacle and worship God? Exodus 35:22 "They came, both men and women, all volunteers at heart, and brought brooches and earrings, rings and bracelets and all kinds of gold jewelry, and all had an offering of gold to the Lord."

Note: is curious that in this rededication to God for the people of Israel, arise precisely from these objects to build with them the tabernacle. Again the same pattern is repeated, rededication = Stripped of ornaments and jewelry.

3. When taking booty, what gave as an offering to God? Numbers 31:50 "Therefore we have offered the Lord an offering, each of which has been found, gold jewelry, bracelets, rings, earrings and necklaces, to make atonement for our souls before the Lord."

Note: not these things were among the booty that was found after a battle. Moreover, it is delivered as an atonement, and so they avoided the temptation to ostentation and greed fight or theft.

4. What were holding non-Israelites? Judges 8:24. "Y Gideon said to them: I make a request, that give me every man the earrings of his prey (as they had a golden earrings, because they were Ishmaelites).

Note: In the Bible, when they stayed with tendrils (pending) of gold, he points out, explaining that was NOT the people of God. This means that the Israelites were not ever with this kind of jewelry for their wives or their home.

5. What symbolizes the use of jewelry? Hosea 2:13 "And punish her for the days when the Baals incense, and adorned with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers and forgot me, saith the Lord."

Note : motifs slopes in the Bible, and archaeologically demonstrated, are associated with pagan worship of Baal, Asherah or tie and other pagan deities. The most common rite of worship was having sex with the priestesses dedicated to that particular pagan god. Normally those identified prostitutes priestesses by the jewels, pendants, earrings, necklaces and other things they carried. For example, gold or gold earrings were related to the God Baal or Marduk. The silver or silver earrings were associated with female deities of the Moon (Asherah or Astarte, for example).

6. What is forbidden by God? Leviticus 19:28 "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you. I am the LORD."

Note: In this case, refers to tattooing, permanent marks made in the body. I know people who tell me they simply do the tattoo because they like it, nothing more. But the truth is that most people I've seen go into a tattoo shop, come to take a brand that I remember someone very dear (a friend, colleague, etc.).. In any case, a Christian must respect the body, even though tattooing should not be "Christians" (a cross, the tetragrammaton or the star of David). We respect the body God gave us.

Leviticus 21:5 "Do not make baldness upon their head or fray the corner of their beard, nor in their flesh."

Note: In this text, it mentions the same, this time unrelated to any dead. No body should be marked, puncture, tear, mark. Why spoil the work of God?

1 Corinthians 6:15 "Know ye not that your bodies are members of Christ? Then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? No way."

7. What is the symbol of the boring parts body? Exodus 21:6 "Then his master will take you to the judges, and I will stand by the door or to the post, and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl, and he shall serve him forever."

Deuteronomy 15:17 "thou shalt take an awl and pierce his ear against the door, and be your servant forever, so will do to your servant."

Note: The piercing of an ear, or both, is a symbol of slavery. Among the women is not as noticeable, but among men it is true that not many years ago was for "fashion" or mimic the "pirates" and its image as "cool" or fun. Precisely such as characters in what film, or even true stories, wore earrings because they were slaves who escaped. When a slave (the brand's owner was the earring) fled from his master, could only enroll in piracy or on a boat where you travel a lot and can not locate. Similarly, women in antiquity, as we have seen, wearing earrings because they were priestesses (slaves) of the god or goddess "X". Carry

outstanding was until a few decades or a few centuries at most, a symbol of slavery in most cultures. God accepted wear an earring (which is not gold) as a symbol of a voluntary surrender a person serving a family.

8. What does that surrender to God? Genesis 35:1 - 4 "God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar to the God who appeared to you when you fled from your brother Esau. Then Jacob said to his family and all those who were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and clean, and change your clothes. And arise, and go up to Bethel, and will there an altar to the God who answered me in the day of my distress, and has been with me the way I went. And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in them, and the earrings which were in their ears, and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem.

Note: When Jacob reconsecrating God, with all his family, he urged all his household to draw from in their midst all the statues of gods, and get rid of all symbols of pagan idolatry and slavery, a symbol of inner cleansing. The text says that they took off their earrings which were in their ears and buried as a symbol of leaving behind the past and all its bad habits.

9. How do we show loyalty to God? Exodus 33:4-6 "And when the people heard this bad news, they mourned, and no one put their ornaments. For the Lord said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel: You are an obstinate people, at one point go up among you, and you consume. Therefore, put off your ornaments, that I know what I do. Then the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments at Mount Horeb. "

Note: Again, we find the pattern of" rededication "- stripped of jewelry and ornaments. It is curious to note that on each occasion that the people of Israel turned away from God, returned to wearing jewelry, men and women. And at a time when God comes to give a last chance to turn to Him, one of the first things they do is shed of jewelry and ornaments.

10. What will offend those who live before the second coming of Christ? Ezekiel 7:19 "They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold will be discarded, nor their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver on the day of Jehovah's fury; not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it was a stumbling block to its evil. "

Note: Ezequiel This text describes the anxiety and anguish of those who, because of the ornaments and jewels and riches in every other respect (expensive cars, gold watches, expensive clothes, expensive homes, etc. ) lost sight of what matters, preparing to meet his God. All that, little by little hindrance almost imperceptible to go slowly increasing wickedness, God go hand leaving almost without realizing it, to get more, more money, more beauty, more popular, etc.

11. What should not be our adornment? 1 Peter 3:3 "Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, gold ornaments or fine clothes."

Note: There are those who believe that going to the hairdresser is "sin." This text does not refer to that, but what Isaiah meant, the "nets" the "hair splitters", etc., Composed mainly of gold, silver, pearls and other jewelry, depending on which pagan god concerned. However, the forces of life care should not focus on achieving these things, but in others more important.

12. What it must be our adornment? 1 Peter 3:4 "but the person of the heart, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious to God."

Note: This is not must understand that a Christian should neglect their external image. On the contrary, an educated, neat, be well dressed, tastefully but not extravagantly and following the principles seen so far.

Proverbs 1:8-9 "Hear, my son, the instruction of thy father, and forsake not your madrePorque be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about your neck. "Proverbs 4:7-9

Wisdom above all, get wisdom: and with all inteligencia.Engrandécela you have, get, and she will magnify; She will honor you when you've embraced the. Adorno will grace your head will give you a crown of beauty. "

3. Costume
1. What general principle should govern the locker room? 1 Timothy 2:9, 10. " I also want women dress modestly, with decency and modesty, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, as befits women who profess godliness. "

Note: Years ago I heard a veteran pastor who gave sage advice: The believer should not be the first to adopt a "fashion", but not the last to leave. We must be dressed in a contemporary way, we will be showing wisdom. However, it is not about to go dressed in nineteenth century, as some claim also.

Many fashions "are temporary, as well as expensive. But it is true that the costume evolves, and those" trends "that last, become the style of dress, they are expensive and are decent, a Christian must live in time and not outside, but with common sense.

2. What other principle is mentioned? Matthew 6:28 - 29 "And the dress, why do you afanáis? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, but I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of them. "

Note: Many people are sad because they can not get this or that dress, (probably expensive). We should not use energy (and resources) in these issues are temporary. The natural beauty, as the example of the lilies of the field, knowing benefit is more than enough. Many marry a woman, and the morning after the wedding, you wonder who is the stranger who is on your side ... Jokes aside, well exploited natural beauty is more than enough. Is the person who actually has a lover, without artifice, and valued all together, character, personality, etc. without causing mental clouding the senses with sensuality excessive.

3. How enhanced durability and good quality clothes? Proverbs 31:21, 25. "not afraid of snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet [...] Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at things to come."

Note: I recommend all of chapter 31, about a virtuous woman. Here we focus on the clothes should be, above all, quality. Some people, going to the other end, not to look cool and save money, buy clothes of poor quality and ugly. The Bible urges us to have quality clothing, that shelters be lasting and beautiful, looking for balance and common sense.

4. What not to do the believers? Deuteronomy 22:5. "women not wear a man's suit, neither man wear women's clothes, because abomination unto the LORD thy God all that do so."

Note: This text is headache for many believers. Some argue that women should never wear pants. It must be said: Careful, it depends. At the time when this text was written, there were no pants, then does not necessarily relate to this. At that time there were long tunics and men and women. Now do not get robes in both genders, except in some parts of the world, very exotic.

long time this statement was true, as there were no pants designed for a woman, and could be mistaken from behind, or simply had poor hygiene (menstruation, for example is a problem depending on which parts of the world still .)

Moreover, in most countries are currently women's apparel includes pants that a man can never be put, because the seam is not well in a male, and vice versa. Sometimes I put the example: If the pants are only for men, then I can wear pink pants, with seam designed for a woman ... although I make bags to the sides of the hip.

Today you can buy costumes for man and woman, and I assure you that both are decent and are not interchangeable, the woman will have a jacket (cutaway) with a tucked waist male.

In other cultures men wore skirts, but not were confused with a woman (wearing coat). For example, formerly in the Army of Greece or in Scotland, wore skirts for men, and had nothing to do with women's clothing.

This text refers to the travesty, that a man impersonating a woman, and vice versa. Seeking gender sexual perversion, deception, is that to regard the text. Is the principle can be applied to any time in history.

5. How should we live according to Paul? Titus 2:12 "Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and godly."

Note: Often the desire is, as mentioned before, imitate others, in many ways. Maybe some things can be justified, but others will not. The Christian must therefore be monitored and what is not, according to the principles and culture of where you live.

6. What to say about the apostle Peter? 1 Peter 4:7. "The end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer."

4. Make
1. Jezebel, wicked woman, pagan priestess, what was usual and for what purpose? 2 Kings 9:30 "Jehu had come to Jezreel, and Jezebel heard of it, she painted her eyes with antimony, and tired her head, and looked through a window."

Note: Following the above explanation, part of the attire of prostitutes idolatrous priests highlight was the white of the eye lids of black paint (antimony).

2. What makes prostitutes (women infidels) in the Bible?

Ezekiel 23:40 "They also sent by men who should come from afar, which had been sent a messenger and came here, and they love you washed, and painted your eyes, and I will adorn themselves with ornaments. "

Jeremiah 4:30 "And you destroyed, what will you do? Even if you dress in scarlet, though you adorn with ornaments of gold, but you paint your eyes with antimony, decked you in vain, your lovers despise you, seek your life. "

5. Recreation

1. What works should not participate? Ephesians 5:11.
"And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather reprove them."

Note: There are activities that are known, have no benefit whatsoever and can only lead to more problems. These activities to avoid.

2. What should we refrain? 1 Peter 2:11.
"While the angels who are greater in strength and power, not railing accusation against them before the Lord. "

Note: The context speaks of cursing others. Those activities in which a person feels prompted to utter bad words against another person should be avoided. Some people can enjoy a healthy sport, while others end up taking too seriously the activity. Everyone knows what is best and if you can perform the activity without falling into the error that says the apostle Peter.

3. Why missed Lot's wife? Genesis 19:24 - 26.
"Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord from heaven, and destroyed cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of those cities, and the fruit of the earth. Then the wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt ".

Note: Although they may be hard to understand, what happened to Lot's wife is that his heart did not want to leave his former life. When you know the Lord must give up some things of his past life (everyone will know what and why). But a delivery medium can lead to moral decay.

4. He mentions some of the sins of last few days that should not exist between the people of God. Ephesians 5:3 - 5.
"But fornication and all impurity or greed even be named among you, as becometh saints: neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know, that no fornicator , nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. "

Note: sexuality outside marriage, indecent activities (even though some may seem childish), selfishness (including the desire to beat others in games of pride), avarice in all its forms (activities that do not benefit others but to one or a few), etc. can lead to unbalanced development a Christian character.

5. What did the believers in Ephesus with some bad books? Acts 19:18 - 19.
"And many of those who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds. Also, many of those who practiced magic brought their books together and burned them before all men and they counted up the price, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. "

6. What can recreate the Christian?

Psalm 92:4 "For you have cheered me, O Lord, with your works in the works of thy hands my joy"
- The nature and his works. Genesis

2:15
"Took So the LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and keep it"
- In the exercise rewarding.

Jeremiah 15:16 "Thy words were found, and I ate them, and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of my heart, because your name is invoked upon me, O Lord God of hosts."

1 Timothy 4:13 "Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation and teaching."
- In good reading.

Ephesians 5:19 "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs singing and praising the Lord in your hearts. "
- In the conversations that build.

James 5:13" Is any among you afflicted? Make prayer. Is anyone happy? Sing praises.
- In the good music.

Isaiah 58:10-11 "And if you give your bread to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul shall thy light the darkness and your gloom shall be like noon. Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy thy soul drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. "
- In the works of charity.

Luke 10:17 "And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name."
- In the preaching of the Gospel.

Isaiah 58:13-14 "If thou turn away thy foot Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My holy day, and it with delight, the holy of the Lord and honor Him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking your own words, then you will delight in the Lord, and I will make you ride upon the heights of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob your father: for the mouth of the Lord has spoken. "
- In the proper observance of the Sabbath. -------------

1. What belongs to whom?

1. What does God say you belong? Psalm 24:1

a )_______________________ b )_______________________

c )________________ ________

Psalm 50:10, 11 _____________________________________________

Haggai 2:8 _________________________________________________

During the civil war United States, a runaway slave was caught in Vermont and brought to court. Although the judge say that the evidence was not adequate property, counsel for the "master" the slave asked, "What do you need your excellency?"

To which the judge replied: "Nothing less than a bill of sale of the Creator himself."

2. What three areas does God claim ownership of everything?
a. Exodus 20:11 _________________________________________________

God created the Earth out of nothing (Hebrews 11:3) and hung on nothing (Job 26:7). He took the dust of the earth and formed man (Genesis 2:7). He created everything and provided the material, therefore, owns everything. Some people think they have, or at least part of it. Some even pretend to govern, but the true owner and governor es Dios.

That's gravity. And so we are going around. What power can be that but the will and power of God? Our very lives are sustained by Him. Every beat of our heart is a response to God's touch. We eat, drink, work, play, think, love, worship, and we can not understand it at all, but in our hearts we know that in Him we live and move and have our being.

c. 1 Corinthians 6:19, 20; Isaiah 43:1 ___________________________________

Each loaf of bread, every blessing we have, is marked with the cross of Calvary. Had it not been for God, there would neither man nor bread. Can a man hold something or to ask the Lord himself, apart from their beautiful Creator and Savior?

3. Who gives us the ability to earn a living? Deuteronomy 8:18

________________________________________________________ 4. What is the relationship of man with these possessions? Luke 12:42, Matthew 25:14 ________________________________________________________

A steward is someone entrusted with the supervision or management of the property or business of another. Runs what belongs to another. God has made us stewards to entrust your possessions. We will be judged, not by the amount we have, but what they did with it and how we use it.

2. The responsibilities of the stewards of God.

1. What prompted the stewards? 1 Corinthians 4:2

____________________ "He who is faithful in little is faithful also in much" (Luke 16:10). Infidelity works the same way. To steward the Lord will say, "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:21).

2. How do you monitor their stewards God? Matthew 25:19, Luke 16:1, 2
________________________________________________________
Surely not everyone has come up with the idea that Judgement Day is accountable to God for life, health, wealth, time, and everything else.

3. What is the first responsibility of the steward? Matthew 6:33 ________________________________________________________

"What I give to the Lord for all his goodness to me," asks the Psalmist (Psalm 116:12). Can we ever make "too much" for Jesus? What if we all cost?

4. How can we honor our Lord? Proverbs 3:9 _______________

A steward must do the best with what has been entrusted, not for himself but for the owner. The butler sinner of himself first, the Christian steward does God first.

5. How much of our time God calls you? ______ Exodus 20:8-11

6. How much of our possessions claim God as holy to him? Leviticus 27:30 ______________________________________________________

God calls us one-seventh of our time, and one-tenth of our resources, not because you need them, because everything belongs; but at the request of our time and a proportion of our resources, we reminded that we are stewards and testing our love for Him Like the economic toll was asked by the Roman Caesar in recognition of its authority, the sacred tithe and Holy Saturday acknowledge the Lordship of God. Christ said: "Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's and unto God what is God" (Matthew 22:21).

The word tithe means a tenth. If a man earns 10, a tenth of that amount is 1, and if you win 100, the tithe is 10. If cattle are 1000, the tithe is 100. And that's when it becomes more difficult. Strangely, the more God blesses more is hard for some to return to God the tithe.

"It was very poor, my small bag was barely noticed a tenth in it. Happily I gave my poor storage, with the desire for more power I give. But now my bag, which was so small, it contains a million. And every day I wonder if one-tenth could I give! "

7. What other area is tested steward? 1 Corinthians 6:19, 20 "For ye are bought with a price _____________ therefore to God in ________________________________".

Romans 12:1 "... offer your bodies on ____________________, holy and pleasing to God-this is your _______________________________".

3. Decimated through the centuries.

1. How Abraham revealed that tithing and was valid in his day? Genesis 14:18-20

____________________________________________________ 2. What God promised Jacob? Genesis 28:20-22 ________________________

This vote came from a heart full of gratitude for the assurance of love and mercy of God. Every blessing of God's hand raises an answer from our heart.

3. What words Jesus showed approval as to tithe? Matthew 23:23 "That's (tithe even the smallest) ____________________ do not stop doing that."

Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for tithing and be small plants, however dishonest and unfair, which is equally important. Still, they said they had to continue tithing. He wanted to teach them that they could not compensate for the lack in one area to be too strict in some other.

4. The purpose of tithing.

At first the family was the unit organized in spiritual matters, there was no centralized cult. As soon as the figure of the priest appeared (at the time of Abraham), the tithe was given to him.

1. What should be the tithe used once Israel became a nation? Numbers 18:21 "Behold I have given the children of all ________ ________ in Israel for an inheritance, by ________________ of the tent of meeting."

When Joshua brought the Israelites in Canaan, each tribe was given a piece of land, except the Levites, who were spending their time serving the Lord. The other tribes gave a tenth of their earnings to support them. During the time that the sacrificial system was in place, the Levitical priests had to be supported from the tithe.

2. How should hold the ministry today? 1 Corinthians 9:13, 14 ______ _________________________________________________________

Paul insisted that those who preach the gospel should live in it, just as the Levites lived for his work on the temple. If the Jews returned the tithes and offerings to God's request to keep the temple service, should Christians do less, having all the world to reach with the Gospel? We should learn a lesson from the first Christians, who hit sacrifice (Acts 4:34, 35) to meet the needs within and outside the church. They found themselves going door to door and town to town with the Gospel, in spite of the persecution (Acts 5:42, 8:1-4). Paul worked tirelessly to that "by all means save some" (1 Corinthians 9:22).

And is not better than the ministers of the Gospel are paid tithing instead of relying on the collection with the dishes, shops church bake sales or good will of some rich man in the church who could offended if the preacher would give direct messages from God? How best are the plans of God than those of men! No minister at a small church forget to address larger economic reasons! No pastor will be afraid to proclaim the truth that your church needs for fear of losing their source of income!

3. What are two ways we keep God's storehouse full? Malachi 3:8, 10, Psalm 96:8 ________________________________________

-tenth belongs to God. It is his holy tithe. While the church there are not free to leave your support. Tithing test our honesty with God, the offerings prove our generosity.

man's heart, by nature is selfish, and God wants us in his likeness and generous. He could do the job without our help, but he does because he knows that giving our time, our money and our service, we help! Does not save us, only God's grace saves us. Yet every act of faithful stewardship of our hand made with love and desire, becomes a means by which God takes away little by little our selfishness, and through which fills us with more of his love and generosity until the image is completely restored in us.

5. "Blessing or Curse?

1. How does God call the person that does not give the tithe? Malachi 3:8, 9 ________________________________________________________

selfish man reaps what he sowed. The unprofitable servant only receives, but does not provide, he is cast (Matthew 25:30).

2. What does God promise to those who tithe faithfully? Malachi 10, 11, Proverbs 3:9, 10 ______________________________________________

Any order? Yes Robo if retained? Yes But have you ever read a promise like that? Do you see wrapped up the adventure? The windows of heaven open! A blessing too large to be received! The defeated enemy! Will not you experience this? As you can see God's math does not work like ours. In his arithmetic, nine-tenths of a profit with their blessing, it is much more than ten-tenths without his blessing. No man understands how it works, but every man who has proved it will be the case. So really does not cost anything at all. But while all cost, would it be too much for him who died for you?

3. How does God reward you give freely? Luke 6:38 __________________________________________________________________ ___________ Paul

said: "He who sows bountifully will reap, and he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. Each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver "(2 Corinthians 9:6, 7).

There are three kinds of givers: That is like stone, which is like a sponge, and that is like a honeycomb. To get something of a rock, you have to hit it with a hammer, and only get sparks and bits of stone. To get water from a sponge, you must squeeze, drain. The more you squirm, the more you get. The honeycomb, anyway overflows with sweetness. Those who delight in giving are the givers cheerful.

count could be thousands of stories of those who have tasted God's plan and have found it impossible to give over to God. One day a farmer who had always tithed faithfully to God, he saw a black cloud of locusts was approaching his farm. If locusts ate your crops, would face ruin. With his family gathered around him, he remembered God's promises in Malachi 3:10, 11. Then they retired to rest assured in the knowledge that their heavenly Father never sleeps, but watches over his people. The next morning, the farmer got up to see their fields. The locusts had arrived just up the fences that surround fields. There had been not a single green stalk on the other side of the fence, but God rewarded the loyalty of the farmer to protect his crop of locusts.

4. Where Jesus tells us to do our treasure? __________________ Matthew 6:20-21 Why? __________________________________

Mark 8:36 "For what shall it profit a man if ________________ around the world, and _________________________________________?"

The great loving heart of God wants everyone to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4). The value of an individual can not be estimated, except in the light of Calvary. And although we have no nothing to offer except a heart to be cleansed, and a commitment that we can not fulfill ourselves, Jesus thought of such inestimable value that wanted to go all the way to Calvary that we might be yours, and theirs for our own choice. He loved us so much that the cross was not too great a price to pay. And he had paid this price if only a man, woman or child could be rescued. He had done only by you. The Saviour's heart is lonely, like yours and mine. The heartache of separation from their prodigal sons can not be described. He just can not finish by ending the separation. Only you and I can stop this. Would you like that to happen? -------------

INTRODUCTION

Butler is the one that manages the assets of an owner. The owner of all that exists is God. We are just its managers or stewards.

1. Stewards of Time.

Time is something we pay, we must use to advantage. We present a time line for a short time, compared with the history of mankind. The passage of time is something we can not control, but we can manage how we use it.

1. What does James compare the days of our lives? James 4:14.
"For what is your life? A mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. "

2. How Jesus illustrates the fact that life and what we have is not in our hands? Luke 12:18 - 20.
"And said," This will tear down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my grain and my goods and I will tell my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years, take your ease, eat, drink, rejoice. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul, and what you have prepared, whose will it be? ".

Note: How often do future plans, and soon time fall apart. How many times have we seen people with big dreams, and soon have fallen ill or have died without seeing them fulfilled. With this, the Bible does not discourage us to make plans, rather invites us to change the motivation for them, stop being selfish in our projects and change our priorities.

3. In the parable of the ten pounds, what nobleman said to his servants? Luke 19:13.
"And he called his ten servants and gave them ten pounds, and said unto them till I come."

Note: This text teaches us that all we have is borrowed. Many people say: "All I have I earned by the sweat of my brow, no one gave me anything! "The truth is that, at least, someone had to give life, preserve health, give us time to work, trade and prosper. In any sense provided the first capital that started the business (the weather, health, life itself) we were given to fruition.

In Deuteronomy 8:12 - 18 captures the essence of this truth: "No happen to eat and satisfying, and build nice houses in which they live, and thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and silver and thy gold is multiplied, and everything that has increased, and is proud of your heart, and you forget the Lord your God, [...] And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. But remember the Lord your God, for he gives you the power to get wealth , to confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as on this day. "

4. How we use the time?

Ecclesiastes 9:10" Whatsoever thy hand shall come to do, do it with thy might, for in the grave, whither thou goest, there neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom. "

Romans 12:11" In diligence, not slothful, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord. "

Colossians 3:23.
" Whatever you do, work at heart, as unto the Lord and not men. "

5. What example Jesus left us? Juan 9:4.
"I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day: the night cometh when no man can work."

Note: Everything has its time, as the wise (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8), use the time to do things best. The saying goes "do not leave for tomorrow what you can do today", and what you agree that this with the biblical text!

6. What to do then? Ephesians 5:15, 16.
"See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil."

2. Stewards of the Talents

1. What parable Jesus told us of the stewardship of the talents? Matthew 25:14 - 30.
"For the kingdom of heaven is like a man taking a far journey, who called his servants and entrusted his bienes.A one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability and then went away. And he who had received five talents went and traded with them, and won other five talents. And he that had received two gained two . But he that had received one went and dug in the earth, and hid his master's money. After long time the lord of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. And he who had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, you gave me five talents, behold, I have gained five more talents. His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant thou hast been faithful over a few things: enter thou into the joy of your lord. He also that had received two talents came and said: Lord, you gave me two talents; Here, I have gained two more talents. His master replied, 'Well, good and faithful servant thou hast been faithful over a few things: enter thou into the joy of your lord. But also who had received one talent, "Lord, I knew you hard man, reaping where you did not sow and gathering where you scattered, for I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the earth; Here what is yours. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful knew that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I scattered no seed. Therefore, you should have put my money to the bankers, and at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. Take away, therefore the talent, and give it to him who has ten talents. For he that hath shall be given, and have more, and he that hath not, even what he has will be removed. And cast the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

2. How should we use our intellectual faculties and emotional? Matthew 22:37.
"Jesus said Thou shalt love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all thy mind. "

3. How to use the talent of the word?

Ephesians 4:29" Let no corrupted out of your mouths, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. "

Colossians 4:6" Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how to answer everyone. "
Titus 2:8

"and sound speech, so that the adversary is averge: uence, and have nothing bad to say about you." John 7:46

"The officers answered, Never man spake like this man! "

4. How to use the talent of health? 1 Corinthians 6:19, 20.
" Know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Ghost, which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body and your spirit, which are God. "

5. How to use all our talents?

1 Corinthians 10:31 "If you eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."

1 Peter 4:11.
"If any man speak, speak as the oracles of God; If anyone , minister with the ability which God supplies, so that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong glory and dominion forever ever. Amen. "

3. Stewards of material goods

1. What Jesus parable illustrated the stewardship of material goods? Luke 16:1 - 13.
" He also told his disciples: There was a rich man who had a steward, and he was charged before he wasted his bienes.Entonces called him and said: What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your stewardship, because you will not longer be steward. Then the steward said to himself: What shall I do? For my master takes my stewardship. I can not dig, beg, give me Verger: uenza. I know what to do, that when I removed from the stewardship, they may receive me into their homes. So he called every one of the debtors of his master, said the first, How much do you owe my master? He said, An hundred barrels of oil. And he said, Take your bill, sit down quickly and write fifty. Then he said to another: And how much do you owe? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. He said: Take your bill and write eighty. And the master commended the unjust steward for having wisely: for the children of this age are more shrewd in dealing with their generation than the children of light. And I say: Make to yourselves friends by means of unrighteous wealth, so that when you fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. Which is trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and with very little that is unjust also in much unfair. For if in handling worldly wealth have not been faithful, who will entrust the true riches? And if you have not been faithful outside, who will give what is yours? No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one and love the other, or the one and despise the other. You can not serve God and mammon. "

2. Who is the owner of all things?

Psalm 24:1" To the Lord belong the earth and its fullness, The world, and that dwell therein. "

Haggai 2:8 "The silver is mine and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts."

Psalm 50:10 - 11.
"For mine is every beast of the forest, And the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains, and everything that moves in the field are mine"

3. What should be our attitude toward the goods at our disposal?
Deuteronomy 8:11 - 14, 17, 18
"Beware lest you forget the Lord your God, keeping His commandments, his decrees and statutes which I command you today, do not happen to eat and satisfying, and built good houses in which they live, and thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and silver and thy gold is multiplied, and everything that has increased, and is proud of your heart, and you forget the Lord your God who brought you out of earth Egypt, the house of bondage [...] And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. But remember the Lord your God, for he that giveth thee power to get wealth, to establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as on this day "Psalm 62:10

.
Put not your trust in violence, not the prey, do not be puffed up, If riches increase, set not your heart upon them ".

4. What do we do when we deliver something to God? 1 Chronicles 29:14 up
"But who am I and who are my people, so that we voluntarily provide this sort? Everything comes from you, and what you received from your hand give."

Note: What we do is to return part of what God has given us, recognizing who receive the things and the power to thrive.

5. How much of our income belongs to God?
Leviticus 27:30, 32
"A tenth of the land, whether of the seed of the land and the fruit of the trees, is the Lord; is holy unto the Lord ... And concerning the tithe of cattle or sheep, all that passes under the rod, the tenth shall be holy to the Lord. "

Malachi 3:8" Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. And ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. "

Note: God asks the tenth part of what gives us the profits.

6. Do you deliver the patriarchs tithing?
Genesis 14:17 - 20
"Coming back from the defeat of Chedorlaomer and kings who were with him, the king of Sodom came out to greet the Valley Save, which is the Valley of Rey.Entonces Melchizedek king of Salem and priest of God Most High, brought out bread and wine and blessed him, saying, Blessed be Abram of God Most High, creator of heaven and earth, and blessed be God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand. And he gave him tithes of all. "

Genesis 28:22.
" And this stone which I have set up, it will be God's house, and everything I wilt give the tenth unto thee. "

7. Although maintained by the tithe, the Levites gave "turn the tithe of their income? Numbers 18:26.
" Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them When you take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer an offering unto the Lord a tenth wave of tithes.

So what is the purpose of tithing? Numbers 18 21.
"And here I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their ministry, they serve the tabernacle of meeting."

Note: Those is dedicated exclusively to preaching the Gospel, live the Gospel.

8. "Jesus abolished tithing?
Matthew 23:23.
" Ay to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy and faith. You should have practiced, without neglecting the former. "

see Luke 21:1-4" looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury of the gifts. He saw a poor widow putting in two mites. And said, Verily I say unto you, that this poor widow put in more than all. For all those cast for the gifts of God in their abundance: but she of her poverty put in all the support I had. "

Note: Despite corruption contemporary religious class to Jesus, he did not condemn the widow's mite, on the contrary, he praised its largesse in its scarcity. This shows that the commitment is to God, despite men.

9. In addition to the tithe, how a man must honor God?
Deuteronomy 16:17 "Every man shall give his hand, according to the blessing which the Lord thy God hath given thee."

Proverbs 3:9.
"Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase."

10. What happens when man does not surrender to God what is due? Proverbs 11:24

"There is that scattereth and yet increaseth, and there are those who retain more of what is right, but comes to poverty."

Haggai 1:6.
"Ye have sown much, and bring in little, eat, and do not saciáis, drink, and not" ARE satisfied, clothe yourselves, and do not calentáis, and working for wages earns wages on deaf ears. "

11. What blessings are promised to who is faithful in their tithes and liberal in their offerings? Malachi 3:10, 11
"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open windows heaven and pour you out a blessing, that. I will rebuke the devourer for you, and do not destroy the fruits of the earth, and your vine in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. "Luke 6:38

" Give and you shall receive; good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will be poured into your lap, because the same measure you use, measured to you again. "Psalm 37:25

" I was young, and now am old, I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. "Proverbs 10:3

.
" The LORD will not starve the righteous: but the wicked will launch iniquity. "

12. What great argument will help us to express our gratitude to God? 2 Corinthians 8:9.
" For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, for your sakes he became poor, being rich, that you through his poverty might become rich ".

13. What attitude of mind we give everything to God? 2 Corinthians 9:7.
" each has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver. "

"forgive the sins they are forgiven them, and do not forgive, they are retained."

10.2 PROFUNDIZANDO MÁS: AUTOPISTAS HACIA LA SALUD Y LA FELICIDAD.

THIS STUDY BIBLE DOWNLOAD PDF HERE

Reading Bible: 1 Corinthians 9:24-27

Recently, the owner of a self-portrait of Ket, looked at the painting he had bought and shook. The paint began to slide down as if the rug out of oil. He put the box upside down, but it did not help.

A restaurateur tried to put the features of face in place, but the paint run refused to return to its original state. Evidently the young painter had mixed his paints with plenty of cheap oil, and now the self-portrait was worthless.

Have you looked at your self lately? The canvas on which paint is hereditary and are born with distinct characteristics (health, intellect, talents). Paints and oils are what we add to the lifetime.

God is also interested in the portrait are painting. As you can see, when we invite you to direct our lives, put his picture on the study of the mind. He is anxious that so perfectly reflect his likeness that men may see in us, and also love him. This is the purpose of redemption, to restore the image of God in creation (Romans 8: 29).

Considering that the Holy Spirit communicates with us through the nervous system, we realize that the health of our mind and body are very important to God. The better the condition of our body, our mind is more alert, more will submit our desires, and Christ can best fulfill its purpose in us.

This is the reason why he cares what we eat and drink, see and hear, how we work, rest and play, and as we think and say. Even our appearance is important because we are his announcement of Christianity. And the ads are for sale.

So if it looks tired, or need a prescription for that depression, or simply want to be sure that your connection with the sky is not obstructed, keep reading!

1. The whole man

1. How was man created in the beginning? Genesis 2:7 __________________________________________________________

Many translations say: "... And the man was a living person." The soul is the whole man.

2. How our body is involved in worship? Luke 10: 27
"Love the Lord your God with __________________________, and with all soul and with all your ____________, and with all your, and your neighbor as yourself."

To love God with the mind, must have a brain. Loving God with our forces involves the body. So we must love and worship God with your whole being, the whole person.

3. What are Christians to stand before God? Romans 12:1
__________________________________________________________

In the Old Testament lambs innocents were slaughtered as reminder that Jesus would die for his people. These sacrifices came to an end when Jesus died. Paul refers to this to illustrate the responsibilities of those who follow Christ. We are asked to bring a sacrifice, not one to be killed on the altar, but one who lives, our own bodies.

The lamb was brought to the Temple had to be without blemish, perfect in every way. That was because Christ, the Lamb of God, was to be without stain of sin. If God demanded a perfect sacrifice then, do you think now, after the Cross, will require less? What would you think he's a sacrifice that smells like smoke snuff or liquor?

This does not mean we can not come to Jesus just as we are. He cleanses us, inside and out, because this is what happens when Jesus touches a life.

4. Who owns our bodies, and why? 1 Corinthians 6:19, 20

__________________________________________________________ What's most impressive thought! Being God's temple or dwelling place of the Holy Spirit! Only with the strength of our fallen nature we can not live a decent life even God. Just can not do. But Jesus came as a man "like in all" (Hebrews 2:17), and lived a perfect life so that through the Holy Spirit, he can live that perfect life again in us. "Christ in you the hope of glory" (Colossians 1:27).

2. The care of our bodies

When you buy a new car, get a user manual, telling you how to use the car and how to keep it. A wise owner follow the instructions very closely, recognizing that the manufacturer knows how to work better. Our Creator and Designer has instructed us to care for our extraordinary human body. His Word tells us what is good and what is not good for the body.

1. What is it that God does not remove? Psalm 84:11

__________________________________________________________ 2. What was promised to Israel if they followed God's instructions? Exodus 23:25 last part. __________________________________________________________

Years later, David said, "took off with silver and gold, and there were no patients in their tribes" (Psalm 105:37). Do you think!

3. What is God's desire for us all? 3 John 2
__________________________________________________________

4. When Daniel and his friends rejected the unhealthy food, what was the outcome? Daniel 1:8-16

__________________________________________________________

The king's food was plentiful and unhealthy, and Jews were educated in strict temperance habits according to the Word of God.

5. What broad guiding principle gave us Paul? 1 Corinthians 10:31

__________________________________________________________ 6. What was the original diet of man? Genesis 1:29 and 3:18

__________________________________________________________

After the sin, God said

_____________________________________
Fruits, grains, seeds, and plants (vegetables). After the flood God allowed man to eat meat, but was very specific, you could only eat animals "clean." Noah knew the difference between clean and unclean, because he had gotten into the ark seven pairs of every clean animal and only one of every unclean animal. The meat was definitely a factor, perhaps the biggest in the rapid shortening of the life of man after the flood.

7. How can we determine what is fair or foul? Deuteronomy
14:3-19 "And every animal that has ____________________, ________________, and _______________ among animals, that you can eat (ver. 6). "Most everything that is not _____________; __________ and shall be unclean" (vs. 10)

Pork, rabbit, horse, catfish, crab, eel, crayfish, shrimp, oysters, clams, octopus, etc. ., can eat only endangering our health. Have you noticed that most of the animals that God forbids waste feed? Are they different now from then? No! A pig is a pig, as the name says. We

confidently assume that what God has labeled it as inedible in the days of Moses, is even more unpalatable today, with increasing degeneration and disease.

8. When Jesus comes, what will happen to those who continue to eat what God has forbidden? Isaiah 66: 15-17

__________________________________________________________ 9. What was the verdict of Solomon on alcoholic beverages? Proverbs 20:1
__________________________________________________________

Since it is in Proverbs, go to Chapter 23: 29-35 to take a picture of a person under the influence of alcohol. People talk about the right to drink, so what about drunk driving on the highway? Or how about the safety and courtesy for the wives and children? Or not entitled to enjoy a quiet neighborhood street safely? Is it okay to give him permission to sell a man what another man becomes a beggar or a welfare case, and then make sober men who take care of him?

10. What commandment forbids anything that harms or shorten our lives? Exodus 20:13

__________________________________________________________ 11. What will God to those who destroy their bodies? 1 Corinthians 3:16, 17

__________________________________________________________

A man walks toward the door of a church, but before entering, stops long enough to dispose of your cigarette. Why? Because the building that is about to enter a holy place. Instinctively knows that smoking in a church desecrate a holy place. That same man, however, does not think that is destroying the temple of his body, too holy, to the deadly poison of tar, nicotine and snuff smoke.

Most of us are aware of the harmful effects of snuff. But What about drinks? What about that seemingly innocent cup of coffee, for example? The reason seems to have that magical power "to power" is because it contains a powerful stimulant called caffeine. The temporary rise in profit that provides the body will be followed by a corresponding drop in strength and courage. That is why they "need" another cup of coffee! But the interest is paid in the form of heart problems, digestive damage in the chromosomes of its cells, irritability, sleeplessness, palpitations, muscle tremors, will be a great bill.

"And how we put the tea in this picture? Very clear. A cup of tea contains about the same amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee, so we should expect the same effects ... You will not find their good fortune in tea leaves. Remember

colas. His great popularity ... its great popularity not only due to its good taste. A soda can contains more than half of caffeine as a cup of instant coffee (Donald Hawley, Come to live, p.124).

And what has been said about the alcohol, snuff, coffee, tea and cola drinks, is twice as true with other common drugs today (grass, hash, acid, powder Angel, Benzedrine, etc., etc.).

12. How we must be temperate? 1 Corinthians 9:25

This includes adequate rest, sufficient exercise, at least eight glasses of water, lots of fresh air and sunshine, which deprive many of us.

3. Care of the mind.

1. How does the mind with the body? Proverbs 23:7

Are there any words of wisdom here for the TV addict?

4. Overcoming unhealthy habits.

The forest guard picked up the phone in the tower. "There is smoke on the edge of the old fire!" He said.

At the time that the group of firefighters came to the area, a dangerous fire front was moving in the forest was left. But these men trained, armed with modern equipment seized control of the situation quickly.

Fifty-three weeks ago, a fire devastated the area. What caused the fire again? The researchers finally discovered the cause. When the first fire swept the area, a large fir tree on the edge of the fire was lit inside the trunk. The smoldering fire inside the trunk for more than a year, until gradually consumed inside the giant tree, breaking from the weight, the pieces fell to the ground and started another fire, which quickly spread to the forest was left standing. This

simmer and hiding their sinister work was done long before it broke outside and was detected. If the rangers had been at aware of the existence of such a fire, could have reduced the damages to the loss of that tree only. But once the tree fell, it was too late for prevention and had done much more damage.

The same applies to the way we live with the habits that destroy health. May have inadvertently been devouring for years and destroying our health slowly.

1. What does Paul call us? 2 Corinthians 7:1

__________________________________________________________ What is worth being well? Health is a priceless treasure, never appreciated until is lost. The disease is the most expensive luxury known to man. God wants us to be healthy, and has given us a guide to health and happiness. But we're not going to force us to follow. Anyway, do not follow their advice will result in poor health. "What a man soweth, that shall he reap" (Galatians 6:7). If we sow God's healthy habits will reap good health.

2. What example Paul left? 1 Corinthians 9:27

10.2 SALUD Y TEMPERANCIA

THIS STUDY BIBLE Download PDF
HERE INTRODUCTION

Health is the harmonious operation of all the elements that constitute the human being: body, mind and spirit.

Temperance is the moderate use of all that is good and complete abstinence from whatever is harmful, especially alcohol, snuff and drugs.

1. General Principles

1. What is God's desire for each of us? 3 John 2.
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy , well as your soul prospers."

Note: When you buy a car we are given an instruction manual for maintenance and improved conservation and enjoyment of it. We read the tips, how often do the necessary adjustments, oil change, adequate fuel, etc. Only then can we guarantee to enjoy longer and with fewer problems than are desired. Is the manufacturer who gives us the instruction manual and maintenance of any product that buy.

The question is, where is the instruction manual for a baby? We will have to go to the "manufacturer" or Creator, to see what advice they give us so that baby grow up healthy and have a long happy life. The Creator has given us the manual beforehand, His Word, the Bible.

2. How should we view our bodies? 1 Corinthians 3:16 - 17.
"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God , and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?" If any man defile the temple of God, God will destroy him for the temple of God, who are you, holy is. "

Note: As a product (auto, appliance, etc..) loses the guarantee when we misuse it, God can not protect us and help as he would if we have behavior that the principles of health. This destruction is a passive action, allowing nature to take its course in our destructive behavior, God respects our freedom of decision and does not intervene where it is invited.

On the other hand, at the time of reckoning with God, we would be found guilty of murder, for having blown yourself slowly (or sometimes not so slowly) with our bad habits.

3. What advice is given those who await the second coming of Jesus? 1 Thessalonians 5:23.
"And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly, and may your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Note: Almost everyone agrees that we must live a change in our morality and spirituality, but not everyone realizes the relationship between body and mind. In order to make those changes in mind (sanctification), find the easiest way if you also take care of the body. So what we recommend our Creator.

2. Factors for good Health

1. What are the main factors for good health?
Answer: Many experts agree
in 8 major basic factors for good health, as reflected in the acronym "GO":

A - CAFE.
D - Break.
E - Exercise.
L - Sunlight.
A - Water, inside (drinking 2 liters a day) and outside (daily hygiene).
N - Nutrition, a healthy balanced diet.
T - temperance (moderate use and abstinence as well as harmful).
E - Hope, trust in divine power.

2. What was the scheme primitive food? Genesis 1:29.
"And God said, Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed which is upon the whole earth and every tree whose fruit yields seed, ye shall eat."

Note: In this diet, the Creator gave us the ideal fuel with which to operate this machinery so perfect that we gave. Seeds ( Zore ' is the Hebrew word that appears here) involves grains (seeds) and vegetables (seeds) and all fruit in which no seed (nuts, fresh fruits). Many are wondering where you could get the protein with this type of diet, and the answer is simple. Eating cereals with legumes together the essential amino acids are taken together to form protein synthesizing the same by our body. The only answer that has not been found is the source of vitamin B12 in the diet, moreover, is fully sufficient and complete.

other hand, I noticed that after the fall of Adam and Eve into sin, this diet was modified. In Genesis 3:18 God adds to this diet plant of the field, what is known as vegetables. Until that time there was no need to eat them, but God saw that the degeneration by sin bring disease, especially degenerative diseases (cancer, cardiovascular, etc.), adding the vegetables, rich in sulfur compounds (among other things) high preventive power of degenerative diseases.

The "manufacturer", added a new fuel additive to the human being to preserve the "tear" and damage the machinery that gave us: our body.

3. When was allowed man to eat meat? Genesis 9:3-4.
"Every moving thing that lives shall be food for even as the green herb have I given you all. But flesh with the life that is your blood, you shall not eat."

Note: Only after the flood was allowed to eat meat to Noah and his offspring. The reason is obvious, the Earth was devastated and had no fruits of those who argued, it was necessary to survival including meat, plus vegetables, fruits, vegetables and cereals.

4. What distinction was made between clean and unclean meat before the flood?
Genesis 6:19 "And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort into the ark, to keep them alive with you, male and female will be."

Genesis 7:2.
"Of every clean animal Take with you seven pairs, male and female: and of animals are not clean by two, the male and female. "

Note: This distinction is made long before Israel existed as a nation, so the Levitical laws should include previous universal principles, like this on the type of food. Therefore, this kind of distinction was not only the Jews, as some understand, but to all humanity descended from Noah and his sons.

On the other hand, this distinction is envisaged that some animals would be killed, either in sacrifice to God, as in food use. If he had made only two of every animal at the time that had killed a to eat, this species would become extinct. Therefore, God ordered the introduction of seven pairs of clean animals and one pair of unclean animals, knowing they would survive because they would be slaughtered and eaten.

5. Where do we find how to distinguish between clean in an unclean? Leviticus 11.
strongly recommend reading this chapter in detail, but suffice as a summary the following basic rules learned from this chapter:

Land animals: To be clean must have cloven hooves (like cows) and be ruminants. Must meet both conditions. The pig has cloven hooves, but not the cud, like the camel, are not clean. Input, an animal that is not excluded land mammal (reptiles, etc.)..

Aquatic animals: must have fins and scales. Any aquatic animal that has no fins and scales is not considered clean (shellfish, octopus, etc.).. The shark, for example, has fins but no scales, so is not considered clean. Bird

: From what seen in Leviticus 11, the birds of prey (eagles and the like) and living on garbage or prey (gull, etc.) Are not considered clean, the rest itself.

6. With clean meats, what two substances should not be eaten?
Answer:
"Grease" (Lev. 7:23): "Speak unto the children of Israel, saying: No fat, of ox or sheep or goat eat".

Note: Whenever most fashionable eating poultry (turkey or chicken) fat-free (the famous 0%). Modern medicine confirms that old biblical principle, indicating that consumption of animal fat is bad for cardiovascular health of human beings.

"blood" (Lev. 7:26): "And ye shall eat no blood in any place where you dwell, or birds or beasts."

Note: The blood meal (food) intake leads to impurities of the same, and diseases. This issue has nothing to do with blood transfusions, the Bible indicates the contradiction in the intake of blood transfusion not the same as is done now, first because at that time was not invented, and second, about saving a life. The other texts that sometimes are provided in this line, continue to refer solely to the intake, although not the subject of this study.

7. What example did Daniel and his companions? Daniel 1:5, 8, 12.
"And they said the king ration for each day, providing the royal food and wine which he drank: so nourishing them three years to the end of them before the king.
[...]
Daniel purposed in his heart with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested, the chief of the eunuchs that he was forced to defile
[... ]
I beg you to do the test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink. "

8. What was the outcome of your procedure? Daniel 1:14 - 15.
"he consented to them in this, and proved them ten days. And after ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter than the children which did eat of the portion of the king's food. "

Note: The body needs energy to eliminate toxins and harmful elements that are included in normal diet, so that despite popular belief, a patient may seem to an omnivorous diet with a diet similar to the original. In all probability this was the reason for the difference in outcome between Daniel and his friends the rest of the boys. They ate healthy and did not devote his energies to the body purge toxins (produced by alcohol, meat, etc..), so that optimized the outcome.

9. What activity was given to Adam in Eden? Genesis 2:15.
"Took So the LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and keep it."

Note: The exercise was part of the routine of Adam (and Eve) in Eden. The popular belief is that the work came after the sin, but that's not right. God, as new elements included in the human diet (vegetables), also modified the dose of exercise, physical therapy included a preventive treatment to a body that would get old. Genesis 3:19 says "By the sweat of thy face you shall eat bread until you return to the earth. "Before sin Adam had to work physically, but now, after sin, with more intensity, or it might be a result of exhaustion, not present before the sin. The fact is that people that moderate to intense exercise regularly, live longer.

10. What do you say sleep the worker? Ecclesiastes 5:12.
"Sweet is the dream of the worker, eat too much, eat little, but the rich will not suffer him to sleep plenty. "

Note: Many envy the rich, but do not know that the concerns, accountability, coupled with lack of exercise physical causes of sleepless nights, nightmares (usually). While ordinary workers, often satisfied with less, have less concerns (not least) that disturb sleep, and fatigue of the day give you a sound sleep.

11. What is one of the purposes of the Sabbath? Exodus 20:9 - 10.
"Six days you shall labor and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath * the Lord thy God, thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates. "

* Hebrew Sabbath = Saturday.

12. What invitation sent Jesus to his disciples after a period of intense work? Mark 6:31.
"He said to them: Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place and rest a little. There were many who came and went, so did not even have time to eat."

Note: Rest ministry was also part of the Master. It was he who told his disciples that they had to rest and rest periods.

13. What influence the state of mind about health? Proverbs 17:22.
"A cheerful heart is good medicine but a broken spirit dries the bones "

Note: The acronym FORWARD ends with Hope. A moody person normally has defenses (immune system) below average, making it much easier disease and cause other (stomach ulcers, hypertension, etc.).. As a person at peace with God and neighbor is more likely to live in a healthy way than the rest.

3. Alcohol

1. What is said of wine and fermented beverages? Although wine is soft at first, how will it end? Proverbs 23:31 - 32.
"Do not gaze at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup. It goes down smoothly, but at last it bites like a serpent, and stings like a viper."

2. How does alcohol affect personality? Proverbs 23:29 - 35.
"Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has contentions? Who has complaints? Who hath wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes? For those who stand long at the wine, for those who go to seek mixed. Do not look at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup. It goes gently, but at last it bites like a serpent, and stings like a viper. Your eyes will see strange things And your heart will utter perverse things. You will be like lying in the middle of the sea, like the one at the top of a mast. And say: I was wounded, but did not hurt, I hit, but did not feel it when I awake, still looking back. "

4. What happens when you love wine?
Proverbs 21:17
"poor man is the lover's delight, and he that loveth wine and oil shall not be enriched." Proverbs 23:21

.
"For the drunkard and the glutton poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags. "

5. How is the character affected by alcohol?

Hosea 4:11" Fornication and wine and new wine take away the trial. "

Habakkuk
2:5 "And also, which is given to wine is treacherous, arrogant man who will not stay; widened as the grave his soul and is as death, not be satisfied, before another meeting for all people , and gathered to himself all peoples. "

6. What is your influence on those who govern?
Proverbs 31:4, 5
" It is of kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine, nor for princes strong drink: Lest they drink and forget the law, and pervert the rights of all the afflicted "

Ecclesiastes 10:17" Blessed art thou , land, when thy king is the son of nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength and not to drink! "

7. How alcohol prevents the discernment between the holy and the profane? Leviticus 10 : 9 to 10.
"You and your children with you, do not drink wine or strong drink when you enter the tent of meeting, lest ye die to be a perpetual statute throughout your generations to difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean ".

Note: Some argue that this language is permissive, so that other people could drink. However it is restrictive, since all we need to discern between holy and unholy, unclean and clean, so that affects us all this text.

8. What is said of that gives his neighbor drink? Habakkuk 2:15.
"Woe to him who gives drink to his neighbor! Woe to you, that you approach your gall, and him drunken look on their nakedness! "

Note: A Christian should not work to serve alcohol in a bar, restaurant or other place. Much less operating or owning a place where alcohol is served.

9. Instead of wine, what we need to be filled? Ephesians 5:18.
"Be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess, but be filled with the Spirit."

10. Who will be among those who do not inherit the kingdom of God? 1 Corinthians 6:10.
"Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

Note: Some argue the moderate use of alcoholic beverages to claim that these texts refer only to abuse. Nothing is further from the truth. For a more thorough and detailed study see Wine in the Bible .

11. What principles can be applied to both alcohol and drugs and to snuff?

1 Corinthians 3:17 "If any man defile the temple of God, God will destroy him for the temple of God, who are you, holy."

1 Corinthians 6:19 - 20
"Know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are of God. "

1 Corinthians 10:31" So whether you eat or drink or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. "

Note : Some people use this text to say that no matter what you eat but the attitude with which it is made. After watching today's study, it is clear that only honor God by following his advice that benefit us to improve our health.

Romans 12:1 - 2
"Therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service. Do not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what the will of God, pleasing and perfect. "

4. Results of the Observance of these principles

1. What promises are made to those who obey the laws of health? Exodus 15:26.
"And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and do what is right in his eyes, and give ear to commandments and keep all his statutes, none of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians I will send to you, for I am the Lord your healer. "

2. What will some of the results of the observance of the Word of God? Proverbs 4:20 - 22.
"My son, attend to my words, incline thine ear unto my sayings. Not depart from thine eyes Keep them within your heart, they are life unto those that find them, And health to all their flesh." -------------
